Someone ask me this question…..
“Why do you decide to open a Toy shop?”
When I was a little girl, I was deprived of PLAY. To my Parents, they do not believe that PLAY is important for a child’s development. To them, getting good grades in school is important.
When I am pregnant, I came across articles that show that PLAY is very important for a child’s development. And I strongly believe and hold this belief dearly to my heart. So, when my little boy was born, instead of buying books for him, I bought lots of toys for him
To me, I love Traditional Toys…I do not love the idea of letting my boy playing with battery operated toys, I love what wooden traditional toys can bring to my boy and me. When a child plays a wooden traditional toy, it brings them endless way of PLAY. Wooden toys allow a child to play out of the box unlike conventional toys where there is only 1 way of PLAY.
In fact, I love the time when I can sit down together with my little boy and seeing how he experiment the wooden toys. I was always intrigued at how creative he can play with just one wooden toy and how serious he is at PLAY.
But, I came to realized that in the Market, there are not many wooden traditional toys. Most of the toys in the market are either Plastic toys or batteries operated Toys. And when is there Wooden Toys in the Market, I find it expensive. So, with the encouragement from my hubby, I decided to open a Toy Shop…A toy shop that brings Fun & laughter to every single child….A toy shop that create the feelings of Joy, Fun & love….A toy shop that strongly believes that PLAY is a child’s entitlement….A toy shop that carries Good Quality Wooden Toys but yet affordable ….A toy shop that has a vision “Letting every child owns a Piece of Toys from us”
So, with these strong drive & vision, Zero2Six first retail shop was open in November 2011. And as a Mother to my boy, I want my boy to grow up together with this vision. And as a Founder to Zero2Six, I want to bring this Vision closer to every child in this part of the World.
